There’s something about walking around a plant nursery that instantly makes me slow down and relax. This weekend I stopped by Pinder’s Nursery in Palm City, and it was such a fun place to wander around and explore.
There are plants everywhere, tropical plants, flowers, palms, succulents, and plenty of things I didn’t even know I needed until I saw them. I love just taking my time, looking at everything, and getting ideas for what I can add around the house.
Of course, it’s pretty hard to walk through Pinder’s and leave empty-handed, so a couple of plants came home with me. If you enjoy gardening, plants, or just want something relaxing to do for an hour, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Pinder’s is another one of those great little local spots that makes living on the Treasure Coast so enjoyable.
🍽️ New island dining complex plans 80 jobs
The Gist: A new South Beach dining complex is getting closer to opening, with Blu Fin, Turtle Cove Gourmet Market and Motley Cow all planned for this fall. Windward Restaurant Concepts plans to hire about 80 employees, including servers, cooks, bartenders, managers, a sushi chef, butcher and barista.
Why It Matters: This will give us a new mix of places to eat, shop and unwind right here on the island. Blu Fin will offer upscale Mediterranean cuisine with Latin inspiration, while the market will have fresh pasta, seafood, pastries and coffee. Motley Cow will bring a more relaxed open-air spot for cocktails, music and catching up with friends.
🍝 Classic Italian with a homemade touch

La Forchetta Italian Restaurant has been serving made-from-scratch Italian dishes in Stuart for more than 16 years. The menu mixes traditional favorites with dishes like pesto risotto, creamy shrimp gnocchi, lobster ravioli and lasagna.
The garlic bread gets plenty of love, too, and there’s a good selection of wines to go with dinner. The cozy dining room and attentive service make it a comfortable place for a relaxed meal with family or a date night.
🚴 A welcoming spin class with purpose

FLX33 combines indoor cycling, strength training and HIIT in instructor-led classes designed for different fitness levels. Stages bikes, heart-rate monitoring and real-time performance data let riders follow their progress throughout each workout.
Classes feature motivating instructors, energetic music and a faith-based atmosphere. FLX33 operates as a nonprofit fitness community focused on strengthening the mind, body and spirit while supporting outreach locally and in Honduras.
