There’s something about finding local places that become part of your routine when you live on the Treasure Coast, and for me, Rinaldi’s Deli in Stuart is one of those spots. Originally started in Jupiter before expanding north, Rinaldi’s has built a loyal local following with oversized subs, creative sandwich names, and that casual neighborhood feel that makes you want to come back again. Many of the sandwiches are named after local personalities and PGA Tour players, a nod to the golf culture that helped shape the original Jupiter location.

What I love most is that it still feels like a true local deli. The menu is massive, the portions are generous, and it has that old-school sandwich shop energy that’s getting harder to find. My go-to order is the Martin County on a hard roll, and honestly, it’s one of those lunches that just hits differently after a morning showing homes, paddleboarding, or a golf round around town.

Places like Rinaldi’s are part of what makes the Treasure Coast lifestyle so appealing. It’s not just about the beaches and golf courses, it’s the local businesses, casual lunch spots, community events, and familiar faces that give this area its personality. Whether you’re a longtime local or just exploring the Stuart area, Rinaldi’s is definitely worth adding to your list.

🏡 Final homes at Tesoro Club

The Gist: In Port St. Lucie, the Tesoro Club development is down to its final remaining new homes as construction nears completion. Built by Toll Brothers, Inc., the gated golf community includes residential neighborhoods alongside amenities like courses, courts, and a clubhouse.

Why It Matters: This is the last stretch of a long-term development turning into a fully built neighborhood. It signals a shift from active construction to a more established community where available homes become increasingly limited.

🚤 Stuart dock expansion set for upgrade

The Gist: In Stuart, work is set to begin July 6 on a major overhaul of the downtown courtesy dock. The project will replace aging dock structures and expand the number of boat spaces from 18 to 44, making it easier for visiting boaters to stop along the waterfront.

Why It Matters: This is one of those small infrastructure upgrades that can quietly change how a downtown works day to day. More docking space means easier stops for boaters, which can bring more foot traffic to waterfront businesses and public spaces.

🥩 Endless grilled meats worth the trip

1756 SE Port St Lucie Blvd, Port St. Lucie

Come hungry because Val's Brazilian Grill does not believe in small portions or forgettable flavors. Between the nonstop skewers of picanha, pork, chicken, and sausage, plus a buffet loaded with fresh sides, it’s a dinner that easily turns into a celebration.

People keep talking about the caramelized grilled pineapple, rich desserts, and the warm hospitality from Val herself, who often walks the dining room checking on tables. Lively enough for birthdays, comfortable enough for family dinner, and surprisingly easy to linger in for hours.

⛳ Mini golf with playful surprises

455 9th St SW, Vero Beach

Safari Golf and Games mixes classic mini golf fun with quirky extras that keep families hanging around longer. The two 18-hole courses wind through tropical plants, themed décor, ponds filled with turtles and fish, and even chatting parrots near the entrance.

Inside, the updated arcade and ice cream counter add to the laid-back atmosphere. Visitors often mention how easy it is to spend a whole afternoon here, especially once the course lights switch on after sunset.
