One of our favorite breakfast spots in Stuart is Sammy J's. If you're looking for a casual, dependable place with great food and friendly service, this is one to add to your list. We especially love sitting outside with our three beagles, who are always welcomed with plenty of attention from both the staff and everyone passing by.

Inside, the restaurant has a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Expired license plates cover the walls, giving the space plenty of local character and making it a conversation starter while you wait for your meal.

The breakfast is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and efficient.

Whether you're meeting friends for breakfast or bringing your pups along, Sammy J's is a local gem that's easy to recommend. If you haven't stopped in yet, it's definitely worth adding to your list of breakfast spots to try.

The Gist: Port St. Lucie SC unveiled new renderings of its future 6,000-seat stadium and announced plans to break ground in November. The stadium, part of the Walton & One development along U.S. 1, is expected to open in early 2028, while the team's inaugural season is still set to begin in 2027.

Why It Matters: For local soccer fans, this is another big step toward bringing professional soccer to Port St. Lucie. Beyond matchdays, the stadium is planned to host concerts, festivals and community events, creating another place for neighbors to gather and bringing more visitors to nearby businesses.

World Famous NuNu's Sweet Soul Food serves comforting Southern favorites with plenty of homemade flavor. The menu includes fried chicken, catfish, pork chops, meatloaf and classic sides like collard greens, mac and cheese and yams.

It’s a warm, casual neighborhood spot with generous plates and a loyal following. Add a blueberry lemonade, and you’ve got a solid comfort-food meal.
