A Hidden Gem in Stuart: Sandsprit Park

I recently met my son at Sandsprit Park in Stuart, and I have to admit, this was another local spot I hadn’t really taken the time to explore. What a pleasant surprise! Sometimes we get so busy living here that we forget to go enjoy the places right in our backyard.

If you have a boat or jet ski, this is such a great launch spot with easy access to the water. There’s also a workout station, a playground for the kiddos, and fishing piers if you’re looking for a laid-back way to spend some time outdoors. We gave fishing a shot, and let’s just say the fish won this round 😂 No luck catching anything, but honestly, we had a wonderful time trying.

There was something really peaceful about being there, watching the boats, walking along the water, breathing it all in, and just slowing down for a minute. It reminded me why I love living here on the Treasure Coast. Whether you’re local or thinking about making the move to Florida, spots like Sandsprit Park are the little things that make everyday life feel pretty special.

🐢 Stuart Unveils Massive Turnpike Mural

The Gist: Stuart-based company H2Ocean unveiled a massive 36,000-square-foot mural on the back of its headquarters along Florida’s Turnpike. Created by a single artist named Jeks One using over 2,000 cans of spray paint, the artwork spans 1,000 feet wide and features extinct and endangered animals.

Why It Matters: It’s a beautiful way to bring the community together and remind us how environmental stewardship affects our everyday lives. The unveiling also marked the launch of National Ecosystems Awareness Day, which organizers hope will become a new annual tradition celebrated every year on June 22.
