Have you been to Burger Daddy yet? It’s tucked right at Indian Street and Willoughby in Stuart, and if you’re looking for a fun, easy, no-frills bite to eat, this little spot is worth checking out. Think classic burger joint vibes with smash burgers, crispy fries, a good all-beef hot dog, and an ice-cold Hank’s Root Beer that feels a little nostalgic in the best way. They also have chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry milkshakes, which I cannot believe I forgot to take a picture of because they definitely deserve one!
What I like about it is that it feels simple and fun. Not every meal needs to be a big production. Sometimes you just want a quick burger, a hot dog, and a casual spot where you can pop in and out without overthinking it. Whether you’re running errands around town, headed home from work, or just craving an old-school burger joint feel, Burger Daddy is a great local stop to add to the list.
🚀 St. Lucie County weighs rocket recovery site
The Gist: Rockets could one day be making their way back to Fort Pierce, but not in the way you might picture. St. Lucie County is exploring a rocket recovery and refurbishment facility at the Port of Fort Pierce as part of its long-term master plan update. The idea is to give aerospace companies a place to bring recovered rocket parts from offshore waters, inspect them, and get them ready for what comes next.
Why It Matters: Florida’s space industry isn’t just about the launchpad anymore. As more rockets head up, more pieces need to come back, be processed, and possibly be reused. For the Treasure Coast, this could put the Port of Fort Pierce in the conversation as a support hub for one of the state’s fastest-growing industries, while also raising new questions about infrastructure, port use, and what role the area wants to play in Florida’s space future.
