🎒 Community drive helps kids head back to school
The Gist: Operation Hope is collecting backpacks and school supplies for 500 children in Fellsmere through its annual back-to-school drive. Now in its 18th year, the effort is supported by local veterans, churches, and community donors. Donations must be received by July 15, with supplies distributed on Aug. 1.
Why It Matters: Back-to-school shopping can get expensive fast, especially for families with several kids. A backpack full of school supplies can take some of that pressure off, helping students start the school year ready to learn without stretching the family budget even further.
